Meanwhile

Gaëtan Rusquet (Brussels)
8, 9 September 21:00, Former 'Boļševička' textile factory | 10 and 7 eur

Meanwhile is a work about bodies, architectures, and disasters. The performers are evolving in a set that could be an architectural model or installation. Constantly, they have to deal with a destruction’s threat on what they build. By playing with scales, the bodies within the space range from power to helplessness.

The raw materiality of the set, the physical sound and unavoidable language of movement make Meanwhile an apocalyptic performance in which the passage of time and the relationship between man and his environment become tangible. This is a journey through the history of a city.

The work is part of the expanded performance space and scenography programme, Shared Space: Music, Weather, Politics, supported by EU programme Culture.

He has studied applied arts, stage design and performance, and is a part of the network A Space For Live Art.
